Southern favorites for spring

Gerbera daisies add striking color to the landscape, and they are excellent for cutting gardens. Gerberas like plenty of sun, food and consistent water levels, with each plant producing up to 5 large, blooms at a time.

The Jaguar™ series is an early bloomer that can take cooler temps. In Southern zones, Gerberas are great for garden beds and may overwinter. For more info, see our Gerbera video. POP is available for bench and endcap displays.

Geranium Calliope™, perhaps the best-ever geranium series, has been improved by the addition of new colors! In addition to the popular Dark Red variety, we also have Lavender Rose and Hot Pink.

Calliope out-performs other geraniums because of its unique genetics. A cross between an ivy type for baskets and a zonal for garden beds, Calliope is easy to grow, will flower repeatedly all summer, and can go anywhere in the garden –  beds, containers or baskets. All they need is an occasional deadheading for maximum color. For more info, see our video. Don't forget to order POP for bench and endcap displays!

Especially suited for Southern climates, Vinca Cora® has proven to be the best variety for planting in hot, sunny locations. Cora has an upright habit, which is ideal for patio containers and flowerbeds. A full color range compliments the great garden show.

A tip when planting Cora is to mulch around the base of the plants to keep moisture in and to prevent soil from splashing on the plant's stems – an inch or two of any compost will work. For more info, see our video on Vinca Cora. POP is available for bench or endcap displays.
